Dedicated to Warwick Newell.
Produced and mixed by me.
All music and words by me. All vocals by me.
All guitars and acoustic sounds recorded and performed by me.
Recorded and
created in: Room 5 Block 1 MWC/UNE Armidale, Harrington Park (Sydney),
and Taree, All being of NSW, Australia.
All photography and computer artwork by me.
Some of the original mixes for these songs were created in 1997, many
in 1998 and 1999, and a few in 2000. It hopes to capture the essence of
the other 100 odd songs I have written in the last four years.
No
sound recording studio was used in the creation of this album. It was
entirely made using my PC and the listed software and hardware. This
art of constructing music in this fashion is called TRACKING.
There are thousands of trackers throughout the world who are part of an
underground scene making great music without much recognition at all.
Help support the scene by spreading tapes of tracked music, tell your
friends about artists on the internet, and provide feedback to everyone
who immerses themselves in this worthy pastime.
Software:
- Fast Tracker 2.08 and 2.09
- Cool Edit 96
- ReBirth 2.0
Hardware:
- Empire 233 Pentium with 16m Ram.
- AWE 32 Soundblaster soundcard.
- Zoom Player Pro 4040 digital effects pedalboard unit.
- Cry Baby waa pedal.
- LEEM LG-1010 guitar amp.
- Ledgend electric guitar
- Phillips stereo headphones
- Sennheiser microphone.
- Sony casset-corder (dictaphone)
- Millions of tangled up audio cables and adaptors.
Samples:
Sounds either taken from sample CD's, released sample packs from the
internet or self generated sounds manipulated from existing sounds
-except-
In OBVIOUSLY a sample was taken from ---table tapes---
Thanks to Morris Cotteril, Juliana Bates, Scott Dollin and Kristen
Reece for contributing their fantastic voices to the record.
M. Cotteril says in PUDDLES 'now hear this!'
Jules says in A TEACUP IN A STORM 'What are you looking at skank? In my
bloody day people didn't even look! No bloody just skank you bloody
whore!'.
Scott provides the screaming in the intro of VERY STRANGE.
Kristen provides the interesting facts about the sun in OBVIOUSLY.
